Centre for Training and Academic Guidance (CTAG) West Bengal Chapter, an initiative by the Human Welfare Foundation (HWF) under Vision 2026, recently hosted a successful career trainer’s training program at the HWF Malda Campus. The event drew enthusiastic participation from school principals, administrators, educators, and teachers from nearby blocks, all eager to enhance their skills in guiding students from socio-economic weaker sections.
CTAG, a non-profit organization, aims to make career counseling accessible. Their team of experts trains educators and assists students in choosing suitable careers based on their interests, personality, and aptitude.
The program, which proved to be a resounding success, facilitated collaboration and knowledge exchange among educators, administrators, and teachers. Esteemed speakers, including Dr. Mehedi Hasan (Assistant Professor at the University of Gour Banga), Mr. Faizy Rahman (Centre In-Charge, CTAG, Delhi), Mr. Mechbahar Shaikh (Former Consultant UNICEF, Kolkata; In-Charge RTE Cell School Education Department), Mr. Masud Alam (State Coordinator, HWF), Mr. Abdul Wodud (Administrator, HWF Malda Campus), and Mr. Akhtar Hossain, shared diverse perspectives and valuable insights in the field of education and career guidance.
The dynamic participation and engagement of attending teachers showcased their commitment to professional development. The training program aimed to equip teachers with the latest tools and methodologies for effective career guidance.
Additionally, an interactive session was organized between key speakers and students at the Malda Campus. This session provided students with a unique opportunity to learn from and engage with experts in the field, broadening their perspectives on career choices and educational pathways. Students actively participated in discussions, seeking guidance on various career-related queries and receiving firsthand insights from the distinguished speakers.
