On 23 August 2026, the School Management Training Workshop (Level 2) for private schools of South Bengal was successfully conducted at the Abdul Fattah Auditorium, Kolkata. The workshop was attended by 45 participants representing 15 private schools from different parts of West Bengal.

The sessions were conducted by Mr. M. Sajid, Director, Vision 2026, and Dr. Syed Atif Jilani, Assistant Professor, Department of MBA, AMU. The resource persons shared practical insights, effective strategies, and valuable guidance on various aspects of school management and institutional development.

The workshop provided an interactive platform for school representatives to strengthen their managerial skills, exchange experiences, and explore effective approaches to improving the overall quality and functioning of private schools.

The second and final day of the National Career Trainers’ Training Workshop on Career & Psychological Counselling was held on 22 August 2026 at Aliah University, Kolkata. The day focused on practical counselling approaches, professional development and strategies for strengthening career guidance services.

The sessions began with Prof. Sharmistha Chatterjee, Professor, Department of English, Aliah University, who spoke on Career Counselling Beyond Aptitude: Understanding Gender, Culture, Identity and Social Context. This was followed by Dr. Syed Atif Jilani, Assistant Professor, Department of MBA, AMUCM, who conducted an engaging session on The Art of Communication in Counselling. An interactive discussion and Q&A session allowed participants to exchange ideas and clarify their queries.

Prof. Rafeedali E., Regional Director, MANUU, Kolkata, addressed Professional Development for Career Trainers: Self-esteem, Motivation & Goal Setting. Mr. Faruk Ahmmad, Career Counsellor & State Coordinator, CTAG West Bengal, conducted a practical session on Psychometric Assessment Tools and Digital Career Guidance Platforms. This was followed by Mr. Mirajul Islam, PhD Scholar and Trainer at CTAG, who discussed Career Guidance Cells and Information Literacy in Educational Institutions.

The final technical session focused on Action Planning, Feedback, Evaluation & Future Roadmap. The workshop concluded with a Valedictory Session, including certificate distribution, a vote of thanks and closing remarks.

Dr. Shazia Hasnain, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Aliah University, hosted and coordinated the workshop on both days with great professionalism and efficiency, contributing significantly to the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.

The two-day workshop successfully provided participants with practical knowledge, counselling techniques and professional tools to enhance career guidance and psychological counselling practices. The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to developing skilled career trainers and strengthening career guidance initiatives across educational institutions.
